It was a successful morning in the garden. I picked over a 5 gallon bucket of Organic produce. There is approximately 4 gallons of cucumbers which I'll use for bread & butter pickles. Tomatoes of various ripeness, zucchini squash, baby kale & lettuce, mint, dill, chard, & zinnias for our dinner centerpiece. The greens, dill, mint, tomatoes & cucumbers will be used for a fresh salad for our evening meal Zucchini will be fried and the rest processed into zucchini relish. I gathered some farm-fresh eggs this morning which will be hard-boiled or scrambled. I have a friend from sugarloaffarmsllc.com that gives us the best grass-fed beef in Oklahoma. I do her baking and she gives me beef. I will add some beef to our evening meal. My fall garden space is approximately 24 feet x 24 feet. It is producing abundantly and we are grateful.
